San Diego Homeowners Insurance for Earthquakes

I didn’t feel it, maybe I’m too far north or I was too deep in sleep, but earthquake season appears to be in full swing. Don’t forget to make sure your home owners insurance is up to date. Also, it’s the beginning of the year you may want to start the year off right by saving some money or expanding your coverage on your homeowners insurance. Here’s the latest from the Associated Press.
(AP) – An earthquake has shaken California’s border with Mexico.

Preliminary information from the California Integrated Seismic Network says the 10:48 a.m. Wednesday quake was magnitude 5.9 and was centered about 100 miles east of San Diego, about 20 miles southeast of the Mexican city of Mexicali.

Buildings briefly swayed in San Diego.

San Diego County sheriff’s Lt. Anthony Ray says there have been no reports of damage or injury.

The automated seismic network reported a magnitude-4.9 aftershock at 10:53 a.m.
